Terms and Conditions of Sale

OLIVANCE · Last updated: 6 October 2026 · Effective immediately

These Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter the “Terms”) govern all sales concluded between OLIVANCE PARIS SAS (hereinafter “OLIVANCE PARIS”) and any natural person acting as a consumer (hereinafter the “Customer”) on the website www.olivance-paris.fr.

Unique identifier for household packaging EPR (Citeo): FR557124_01YSZP.

ARTICLE 1 – PURPOSE

These Terms and Conditions of Sale set out the rights and obligations of the parties in connection with the online sale of the products offered on the website www.olivance-paris.fr.

They apply to every order placed on the website, to the exclusion of any other document or condition.

Placing an order implies full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms.

OLIVANCE PARIS reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. The applicable conditions are those in force on the date the order is confirmed.

ARTICLE 2 – PRODUCTS

OLIVANCE PARIS offers a selection of creations and products inspired by the Mediterranean art of living.

The collections may include, in particular:

  • handcrafted pieces made from olive wood or other natural materials selected by OLIVANCE PARIS;
  • creations in plant fibres, notably alfa;
  • creations made from natural stone, notably marble;
  • decorative objects;
  • accessories;
  • tableware;
  • fine foods and Mediterranean specialities;
  • personalised or made-to-measure creations.

The essential characteristics of each product are set out on its product page.

Photographs, descriptions and illustrations are produced with the greatest care in order to represent the products faithfully.

They nevertheless have no absolute contractual value, and slight differences may occur, in particular owing to:

  • the natural materials used;
  • artisanal manufacturing processes;
  • the rendering of colours on different screens.

Products are offered while stocks last.

ARTICLE 3 – THE ARTISANAL NATURE OF OUR CREATIONS

OLIVANCE PARIS creations are made using artisanal methods that favour natural materials.

Each piece is unique.

The grain of the wood, the texture, the plant fibres, shades of colour, reliefs, dimensions or patina may vary naturally from one creation to another.

These characteristics are inherent to the materials used and to the craftsmanship involved.

They form part of the identity and authenticity of OLIVANCE PARIS creations and constitute neither a manufacturing defect, nor a lack of conformity, nor a latent defect.

The Customer acknowledges being fully informed of these characteristics before placing any order.

ARTICLE 4 – CUSTOMER ACCOUNT

Creating a customer account is required in order to place an order on the website.

When registering, the Customer undertakes to provide accurate and complete information and to keep it up to date.

Login credentials are strictly personal and confidential.

The Customer remains solely responsible for their use and for any transaction carried out from their account.

The customer account allows the Customer, in particular:

  • to manage their personal information;
  • to track their orders;
  • to view their purchase history;
  • to access their invoices;
  • to submit a return request;
  • to follow their requests to the after-sales service;
  • to benefit, where applicable, from the advantages offered by OLIVANCE PARIS.

In the event of fraudulent use or breach of these Terms, OLIVANCE PARIS may suspend or delete the account concerned, without prejudice to any other rights it may exercise.

ARTICLE 5 – PRICES

Prices are shown in euros (€), inclusive of all taxes.

Delivery charges are calculated according to the destination, the chosen delivery method and the characteristics of the order.

They are clearly displayed before the order is finally confirmed.

The price invoiced is the price displayed at the time the order is confirmed.

OLIVANCE PARIS reserves the right to change its prices at any time, without affecting orders already confirmed.

Promotional offers are valid for as long as they are published and while stocks last.

ARTICLE 6 – ORDERS

The Customer selects the products they wish to purchase and adds them to their basket.

Before final confirmation, it is the Customer’s responsibility to check:

  • the products selected;
  • the quantities;
  • the delivery and billing addresses;
  • the delivery method;
  • the payment method.

The order becomes final once payment has been approved and its registration has been confirmed by email.

OLIVANCE PARIS reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order for a legitimate reason, in particular in the event of:

  • a payment incident;
  • fraud or attempted fraud;
  • abusive use of the website;
  • manifestly incorrect information;
  • an order incompatible with normal use by a consumer.

The Customer is responsible for the information provided when ordering. OLIVANCE PARIS cannot be held liable for any error likely to cause a delay in, or prevent, delivery.

ARTICLE 7 – PAYMENT

Orders are payable in full at the time they are confirmed.

The accepted payment methods are those offered on the website on the day of the order and may include, in particular:

  • Carte Bancaire (CB);
  • Visa;
  • Mastercard;
  • PayPal;
  • Apple Pay;
  • Google Pay;
  • bank transfer, where this option is offered.

Payments are processed through a secure payment platform that meets current security standards.

OLIVANCE PARIS never has access to the Customer’s confidential banking details and does not store them.

In the event of a refused payment, a failed transaction, presumed fraud or reasonable suspicion of fraudulent use of a payment method, OLIVANCE PARIS reserves the right to suspend or cancel the order concerned.

An invoice is issued for every order. It can be accessed from the customer account when this feature is available.

ARTICLE 8 – DELIVERY

Products are delivered to the address given by the Customer when confirming the order.

OLIVANCE PARIS delivers to mainland France and to the countries offered during the checkout process.

Delivery times indicated on the website are given for information only. They take into account order preparation time and the lead times usually observed with carriers.

For personalised or made-to-measure creations, a specific lead time may be indicated before the order is confirmed.

Delivery times cannot be guaranteed in circumstances beyond the control of OLIVANCE PARIS, in particular in the event of disruption to transport networks, force majeure or delays attributable to the carrier.

The Customer must check the outward condition of the parcel on receipt.

If the packaging is damaged, a product is damaged or an item is missing, the Customer is advised to take photographs of the parcel and the products concerned and to contact customer service as soon as possible.

Risk passes to the Customer when the Customer, or a third party designated by them other than the carrier, takes physical possession of the products.

ARTICLE 9 – DELIVERIES OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN UNION

Where delivery is offered outside the European Union, the Customer is deemed to be the importer of the products ordered.

Any customs duties, import taxes, clearance fees or other taxes payable in the country of destination are borne exclusively by the Customer.

It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure that the products ordered may be lawfully imported into their country of residence and to comply with any applicable administrative formalities.

OLIVANCE PARIS cannot be held liable for any refusal of importation, customs hold or additional charges imposed by the authorities of the country of destination.

ARTICLE 10 – RETURN REQUESTS

All return requests, whatever the reason, are made using the returns management tool provided on the website or, failing that, by email to CONTACT@OLIVANCE-PARIS.FR.

The Customer is asked to select the reason corresponding to their request and, where necessary, to provide any information or photographs that will help it to be processed.

Requests may concern, in particular:

  • the exercise of the right of withdrawal;
  • a defective product;
  • a product that does not match the order;
  • a product damaged in transit;
  • any other after-sales request.

Depending on the nature of the request, OLIVANCE PARIS may inform the Customer of the applicable return procedure and shipping instructions.

Each request is examined individually so that an appropriate response can be given as quickly as possible.

ARTICLE 11 – RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

In accordance with Articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the Customer has fourteen (14) calendar days from receipt of the products to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to give any reason.

The Customer notifies their decision using the returns management tool offered on the website or, failing that, by any unambiguous statement sent to OLIVANCE PARIS.

After notifying their decision, the Customer has fourteen (14) days in which to return the products concerned.

For any order delivered in France with items totalling €100 or more (incl. VAT), return costs are covered by OLIVANCE PARIS. Below that amount, and except in the case of an error attributable to OLIVANCE PARIS, a non-conforming product or a defective product, return costs are borne by the Customer.

Returned products must be complete, clean, accompanied by their accessories and, as far as possible, in their original packaging.

The Customer remains liable for any diminished value of the product resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and proper functioning.

Where the legal conditions are met, the refund is made within a maximum of fourteen (14) days from collection of the products or receipt of proof of their dispatch, whichever is earlier.

The refund is made using the same payment method as that used for the order, unless the Customer expressly agrees otherwise.

ARTICLE 12 – EXCLUSIONS FROM THE RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised in particular for:

  • goods made to the Customer’s specifications;
  • personalised or made-to-measure creations;
  • food products unsealed after delivery;
  • products liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;
  • more generally, all goods for which the regulations provide for an exclusion from the right of withdrawal.

These exclusions do not affect the Customer’s rights under the applicable legal guarantees.

ARTICLE 13 – FOOD PRODUCTS

The food products offered by OLIVANCE PARIS are carefully selected from producers, artisans and partners who share the brand’s standards of quality.

The essential characteristics of each product are presented on its product page in accordance with the regulations in force.

Where required by law, the Customer is informed in particular of:

  • the name of the product;
  • the list of ingredients;
  • allergens;
  • the net quantity;
  • the best-before date or the use-by date;
  • storage conditions;
  • nutritional information;
  • the country of origin or provenance, where this is mandatory.

The Customer is responsible for observing the storage conditions once the products have been received. The consumption dates shown on the products remain applicable provided these storage conditions are respected.

OLIVANCE PARIS cannot be held liable for any deterioration in taste or safety resulting from improper storage or use that does not follow the recommendations on the packaging or the product page.

Food products from artisanal or agricultural production may naturally vary in appearance, colour, texture, aroma or taste depending on harvests, seasons or production methods.

These variations are inherent to the nature of the products and do not constitute a lack of conformity.

ARTICLE 14 – LEGAL GUARANTEES

Products sold by OLIVANCE PARIS benefit from the legal guarantees provided for by French law.

In particular, the Customer benefits from:

  • the legal guarantee of conformity provided for by Articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code;
  • the guarantee against latent defects provided for by Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code.

Where a product appears to have a defect that may fall under one of these guarantees, the Customer is invited to contact customer service using the returns management tool available on the website or by email.

Each request is examined individually.

Where the legal conditions are met, OLIVANCE PARIS will, depending on the situation and the applicable legal provisions:

  • repair the product where this is possible;
  • replace it;
  • or refund it.

These legal guarantees apply independently of any commercial guarantee.

Unless expressly stated on a product page, OLIVANCE PARIS grants no additional commercial guarantee.

ARTICLE 15 – PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

Products are offered while stocks last.

Some handcrafted creations are made in small series, to order or as one-of-a-kind pieces.

Should a product become unavailable after the order has been confirmed, OLIVANCE PARIS will inform the Customer as soon as possible.

The Customer may then choose, depending on the options available:

  • a full refund of the sums paid;
  • replacement with an equivalent product, with their agreement;
  • or to wait for a possible restock where one is foreseeable.

No compensation may be claimed solely on the grounds that a product is unavailable.

ARTICLE 16 – FORCE MAJEURE

OLIVANCE PARIS cannot be held liable for the total or partial non-performance of its obligations where this results from an event constituting force majeure within the meaning of Article 1218 of the French Civil Code.

The following, in particular, may constitute force majeure:

  • natural disasters;
  • fires;
  • floods;
  • pandemics;
  • industrial disputes or strikes;
  • widespread failures of transport or communication networks;
  • administrative decisions preventing the normal performance of services;
  • any event reasonably beyond the control of OLIVANCE PARIS.

For the duration of such an event, the obligations concerned are suspended.

If the impediment becomes permanent, either party may terminate the order concerned without any compensation being due.

ARTICLE 17 – INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The OLIVANCE PARIS brand, its visual identity, creations, photographs, texts, illustrations, videos, catalogues, website and all content published remain the exclusive property of OLIVANCE PARIS or of their respective owners.

Any reproduction, representation, distribution, adaptation, translation, modification or exploitation, in whole or in part, by any means whatsoever, without prior written authorisation, is strictly prohibited.

Any unauthorised use may constitute infringement within the meaning of the French Intellectual Property Code.

ARTICLE 18 – PERSONAL DATA

Personal data collected through use of the website or when placing an order is processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (GDPR), the amended French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés) and any other applicable regulations.

The terms of collection, use, retention and deletion of data are set out in the Privacy Policy available on the website.

The Customer has, in particular, the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and portability of their data.

Any request to exercise these rights may be sent to:

CONTACT@OLIVANCE-PARIS.FR

The Privacy Policy forms an integral part of these Terms and Conditions of Sale.

ARTICLE 19 – LOYALTY PROGRAMME AND COMMERCIAL BENEFITS

To thank its Customers for their trust, OLIVANCE PARIS may offer various commercial benefits, such as, in particular:

  • a loyalty programme;
  • vouchers;
  • credit notes;
  • gift cards;
  • promotional offers;
  • or any other commercial benefit.

The terms of allocation, calculation, validity, use and, where applicable, expiry of these benefits are set out in the specific conditions of each programme or promotion.

Unless stated otherwise, these benefits:

  • cannot be exchanged for cash;
  • cannot be transferred to a third party;
  • are not refundable.

If an order that gave rise to a commercial benefit or loyalty points is refunded, OLIVANCE PARIS may cancel or adjust them in order to preserve the balance of the programme.

OLIVANCE PARIS reserves the right to modify, suspend or end any loyalty programme or commercial benefit at any time, provided that rights already acquired by Customers are not affected.

Any fraudulent use of a loyalty programme or other commercial benefit may result in the cancellation of the benefits concerned and, where applicable, the suspension or closure of the customer account.

Commercial benefits have no monetary value.

ARTICLE 20 – CONSUMER MEDIATION

In accordance with the French Consumer Code, the Customer is entitled to refer, free of charge, to a consumer mediator with a view to the amicable resolution of any dispute with OLIVANCE PARIS.

Before referring a matter to the mediator, the Customer is invited to send their complaint to customer service so that an amicable solution can be sought.

OLIVANCE PARIS has appointed as consumer mediator: CM2C – Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice, 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris – www.cm2c.net. The Customer may refer a dispute to it online at www.cm2c.net or by post, within one year of their written complaint to OLIVANCE PARIS.

Recourse to mediation is optional and does not prevent the parties from bringing the matter before the competent courts under the conditions provided for by law.

ARTICLE 21 – GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

These Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by French law.

In the event of any dispute concerning their interpretation, performance or validity, the parties will first endeavour to find an amicable solution.

Failing an amicable agreement, the dispute may be brought before the competent French courts under the conditions laid down by the applicable legal provisions.

In any event, the Customer benefits from the protective rules of the French Consumer Code and from any mandatory provisions applicable in their country of residence where these are more favourable to them.

ARTICLE 22 – LANGUAGE OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

These Terms and Conditions of Sale are drawn up in French.

They may be translated into one or more other languages to make them easier for Customers to understand.

In the event of any discrepancy, inconsistency or difference of interpretation between a translated version and the French version, the French version shall prevail.

ARTICLE 23 – FINAL PROVISIONS

The fact that OLIVANCE PARIS does not, at any given time, rely on any provision of these Terms and Conditions of Sale shall not be interpreted as a waiver of its right to rely on it subsequently.

Should any provision of these Terms and Conditions of Sale be declared null, unlawful or unenforceable by a competent court, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

These Terms and Conditions of Sale constitute the entire agreement between OLIVANCE PARIS and the Customer regarding sales made on the website www.olivance-paris.fr.

They cancel and replace any previous version.

The authoritative version is the one published on the website on the day of the order.
